Meyers Homestead Trail is part of the Walker Ranch Open Space, about 9 miles out of Boulder. This out-and-back trail has beautiful foliage and you're likely to see a herd of elk grazing nearby. There are also interpretive signs along the trail that teach hikers about local history and ecology.
From Boulder at the intersection of Broadway and Baseline, go 7.5 miles west on Baseline (which winds and turns all over up the mountains), and go right into the Meyers Gulch trailhead parking lot.
